The Olympic Torch comes to Dorking

20TH JULY 2012

On Day 63 of the Olympic Torch Relay, it will be coming through Dorking. It will be carried from Pixham Lane through the High Street towards Westcott by 7 lucky selected torch bearers from Dorking and the surrounding areas. The torch is expected to be arriving around 4pm on Friday 20th July.

Also during the relay through the town, flags designed by ten-year-old Heidi de la Hoyde, of Dorking will be given out to the 6,000 residents. This is after she entered her design, beating 542 other entries from primary school children across Mole Valley to win the competition. So wave those flags as the torch comes to town!
